In order to guarantee that all products, services and activities carried out by the organisation, together with the respect for the environment and the eco-system, are in compliance with the Customer's requisites, the management introduced voluntarily a Quality and Environmental System, in compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards.
Gemata intends to adopt an essential requisite of the ISO 9001 Standard, i.e. that of satisfying the parties involved, convinced that the continuous search for this satisfaction would bring about mutual benefit for the parties, who are:
The Customer (the most important party), the owners or shareholders, the employees, the public and the suppliers.
The management's commitment and wishes, supported by the executives themselves, are consequently:
- The upkeep of the Quality and Environmental Systems with reference to the respective ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 Standards; they must support the target of achieving the organisation's goals.
- Training, informing, increasing awareness, involving and continually motivating all the staff with the Quality and Environmental System, about aspects of safety and environmental repercussions in their work; this latter aspect may also interest any contractors and suppliers of services at Gemata.
- Working with utmost respect for the current legislation in force for the sector concerning safety and the environment; committing to complying with the laws and regulations that are applicable to the organisation, with continuous updates.
- The development of projects for new machinery and installations that meet the Customers' needs, but which also reduce and improve (compared to current standards) environmental impact, constantly searching for possible new technologies, within the limits of competitiveness.
- Aiding and encouraging all company departments in the continuous improvement of processes: monitoring and controlling its own indicators and starting up the actions needed to serve Customers in a better way from the start.
- Paying maximum attention to Customers' requests for assistance, including them as priorities in the organisation's work.
- Maintaining the current environmental standard and, where possible and compatibly with the human and financial resources available, implementing constant improvement of pollution prevention. For this purpose, the organisation intends to dedicate special attention to aspects concerning air emissions and the need to reduce waste produced, while not neglecting other environmental aspects that the organisation can influence, e.g. planning processes and Customer assistance.
- The organisation intends to export its environmental policy outside their premises, trying to increase awareness of the importance of environmental matters amongst their own suppliers and, where possible, selecting suppliers that adopt production processes with a low environmental impact.
- The organisation undertakes to look for clear forms of communicating with the public, intended to spread company policy to the interested parties, and to receive opinions, ideas and suggestions from outside the company which are extremely useful for a critical review of the company's goals and targets.
Gemata must be capable of continuously adapting to the market needs, quickly and in a flexible manner, to grow with the Customer, creating a relationship based on trust with him. The company must see the Customer as a partner, proud to represent
Gemata products in the world.
All
Gemata employees must feel involved and willing to take part in these goals, in order for the company's success to be their own too.
